MATTHEW 23:9
WHY
CALL NO MAN?
The name comes from the words of Jesus in Matthew 23:9:
“And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.”
But don't stop at verse 9.
Jesus is confronting religious performance, status, titles, and people who place themselves above those they are supposed to serve.
Then he brings it back to something simple:
You have
You are all
brothers.
The greatest among you
shall be your servant.
That's where the name comes from.
Not a rejection of people who teach us. Not a claim that we have all the answers.
A reminder of where the final authority belongs.
